Young Floridian producer, XXYYXX, is one of the most interesting acts in the scene right now. His hit song, “About You” has opened the pubic to a new niche world of “bedroom” production and propelled the producer into a new world of touring and production. However, he does not let a single piece of work define him and that is what his latest track,”Chaser,” highlights.
“Chaser” is unique because it is actually released as a birthday present for XXYYXX’s two best friends (Chris and Ian) and contains field recordings XXYYXX took while making the track in his friend’s backyard. The song demonstrates the producer’s willingness to experiment and play with new sounds that are rich and distinctive.
Unlike his other productions which use bass as a key component in the track, Chaser is driven by a subtle bass kick that not only amplifies the spacey, ambient soundscape set by his synth work, but also evolves the track into this deep house vibe.
